Airsoft is a game of honor, a simulation of tactical training, and a game of fun...
Come prepared and be on time. Spare batteries and an good supply of BB's are an excellent way to keep your day rolling along. A sidearm, or secondary weapon is recommended in case your main weapon fails, or you're too close to engage, etc... Bring lots of hydration, and your lunch if your hungry.
Below are some of the basic rules of Airsoft. We request all players attending our events, read, fully understand and comply with all the following rules as part of your basic preparation for the game. If you are unsure, ask... most players are eager to help.
#1 All combatants will refrain from arguing or fighting with opposing forces and/or teammates. Absolutely no physical exchanges will be tolerated. Yelling and screaming on the battlefield, should be used for tactical reasons only. If you encounter a problem, immediately address it to a referee or a Redding Airsoft Team staff member.
#2 Airsoft is a game of "Honor" Bring yours when you come out. We require that once hit, a combatant is to raise their hand or weapon and call "Hit" loudly, emphasis is on "raising the hand or weapon". Some guns are louder than others and you may continue to be shot if you call out the hit alone. If you shoot someone and they do not call their hit, they may not have felt it. (Hey, keep shooting them until they do the chicken dance.) If you "Unquestionably" see the BB hit a player, their pack, vest, or equipment, call the hit for them. It is acceptable to call a hit for the opposing forces player. Many times it makes a loud "thwak" anyway. We "do not" consider a weapon hit as a kill. If a teammate of yours doesn't call the hit, call it for him. That's what this game is all about. If you know you're hit, call it. I use this phrase over and over again "Airsoft is a game of Honor, I will not question your Honor in that you did not feel it, but If I tell you, I hit you, don't question mine"
#3 Safety glasses or face shields are required to play Airsoft on our fields. We recommend face shields to all, especially those players under 18. If, however, your parents allow you, players under the age 18 may use goggles of any style. This is the decision of the player and only the player. We have made the recommendation, it is your right not to accept it. The standard for these glasses/goggles is ANSI 87.1-2003. Look for this as a minimum level of protection. "Pain is merely weakness leaving your body". If you choose not to wear enough protection, don't complain about getting hit where there is none. "It is your choice".
#4 Follow the rules! Don't ruin the fun for everyone else. This includes the rules from the field
and from the event organizer.
#5 Have fun! Airsoft is a recreational sport. Keep in mind we are out there to have fun. Our games
are non-profit. Our staff work very hard to make sure each one of you who support our event have fun.
#6 Vulgarity will not be accepted by the Redding Airsoft Team anywhere in the public eye or ear.
#7 There is to be no drug or alcohol use before, during or after a game. There is to be no consumption of the same on any Redding Airsoft Team Field, or any facilities that The Redding Airsoft Team is hosting, or contracted to host.
Infractions, transgressions or ignorance to any of the above rules will result in a verbal warning, and a possible firing squad. Should the infraction occur again, you will be removed from the game/event and forfeture of event fees. You will be disqualified from any Redding Airsoft Team event or field for a period of no less than 6 months
The Redding Airsoft Team holds a Zero Tolerance for infractions of rule 8
